July 27, 2009 - Cincy Chic (www.cincychic.com), the only online publication for women in Greater Cincinnati, has increased their percentage of new viewers by 64.51% by reaching out to the community via social media.

They recently created a LinkedIn group called, “Cincy Chic,” as well as a fan page on Facebook.  Cincy Chic has been using these social media networks, as well as MySpace and Twitter, to update the community on new issues, upcoming events, and contests.  They consistently find that their social networking pages are in their top 10 site referrals.

The ladies of Cincy Chic have also been using photo-sharing sites to share photos from their events.  You can find their photos on CincyChic.com, MySpace, Facebook, Cincinnati.com, Flickr, and Picasa.

Red Cross Serves Victims of Vera Cruz Earthquake

Vera Cruz, CA, April 23, 2009 - The American Red Cross is serving the victims of the earthquake that took place yesterday in Vera Cruz, CA.

Twenty-four hours have passed, and 892 victims have been found dead, while 3,833 have been injured.  Thousands of homes have been damaged and even destroyed by this earthquake, leaving 18,000 temporarily homeless, and 6,000 permanently homeless.

“While we can never bring back the lives that were lost, we are committed to working together to ensure a full recovery for those affected by this disaster,” said John James, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the American Red Cross.

Tents have been set up at Smokey Bear Park, and 4,000 victims have been housed in tents.  Another 1,000 have been housed at Bear Park High School.  Within the first 24 hours, 5,368 meals were served, and 10,000 gallons of drinking water was dispensed.
